Imax Port Vell

The Imax building is one of the Port Vell’s most spectacular attractions, housing as it does a huge cinema that can project films using three large-format systems in the same theatre. The Imax system ensures the highest-quality image, projected onto a flat screen seven storeys high. The Omnimax dome system is used to create wrap-around images that are projected onto a semi-spherical screen thirty metres in diameter. 3D effects, generating reality in movement, can also be created by using polarized glasses.
