The Aquarium of Barcelona is one of the largest in Europe and the most important aquarium in the world devoted to the Mediterranean.
The various tanks here contain eleven thousand living organisms from some 450 species.
A transparent tunnel, more than eighty metres long, runs through the huge Oceanarium, unique in Europe, taking the visitor on an enthralling journey to the depths of the Mediterranean.
